Cayo Guillermo is part nature reserve, and as the island has been developed especially for tourism there are no cubans living there - there are only a few hotels . The Cuban workers are bussed in every day to work at the resorts. All the resorts,are all inclusive, and although you are perhaps not seeing the 'real' Cuba, it is a beautiful Caribbean destination worth visiting, particularly as the prices seem cheaper to visit Cuba compared to other Caribbean countries.</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2119743699047514060.post-71220879650158936042009-05-12T15:55:00.000-07:002010-01-29T11:56:21.900-08:00CAYO GULLERMO ENTERTAINMENT<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizrfazaFw7uRlOkBjWVzLp-tW8i7LnaaSrenrpIMhhaqmdRWlMWl3au10IBR4vpzkHYA6EOfBOonBK-oSDYwSiTlxvJml49QMQKYlyoYLmI2HwPWwLo5A4xu-55I9KEoueESwTH8pUYvYx/s1600-h/Cayo+Guillermo+9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" kt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizrfazaFw7uRlOkBjWVzLp-tW8i7LnaaSrenrpIMhhaqmdRWlMWl3au10IBR4vpzkHYA6EOfBOonBK-oSDYwSiTlxvJml49QMQKYlyoYLmI2HwPWwLo5A4xu-55I9KEoueESwTH8pUYvYx/s400/Cayo+Guillermo+9.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><span style="color: #0b5394; font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.cubaweb.com/">CAYO GUILLERMO ALL INCLUSIVE</a></span> <br />
<br />
Holidays in Cayo Guillermo very much center on quality hotels offering excellent accommodation and a full entertainment program. Many Cayo Guillermo holidays are on an all-inclusive basis. Dining and entertainment tends to revolve entirely around the resort hotel. It would be fair to say that Cayo Guillermo holidays appeal to those looking for total tranquil relaxation rather a taste of real Cuban life and culture. However, Cayo Guillermo holidays could include an excursion to genuine Cuban towns like Moron, Ciego de Avila and Camaguey or the lovely sleepy colonial town of Trinidad. Longer overnight trips are offered to amazing Havana.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2119743699047514060.post-52004933554680062752009-05-12T15:44:00.000-07:002012-02-07T21:08:37.583-08:00CAYO GUILLERMO BEACHES<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">

The mangroves off the south coast of Cayo Guillermo are home to pink flamingos and pelicans, and there's a great diversity of <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_fish" rel="wikipedia" title="Tropical fish">tropical fish</a> and crustaceans on the key's <a class="zem_slink" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=0.0,-30.0&spn=0.1,0.1&q=0.0,-30.0%20%28Atlantic%20Ocean%29&t=h" rel="geolocation" title="Atlantic Ocean">Atlantic</a> reef. This was a favorite fishing spot of US writer <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Hemingway" rel="wikipedia" title="Ernest Hemingway">Ernest Hemingway</a>, who mentioned Cayo Guillermo in his book <a class="zem_slink" href="http://www.amazon.com/Islands-Stream-Ernest-Hemingway/dp/0002213443%3FSubscriptionId%3D0G81C5DAZ03ZR9WH9X82%26tag%3Dzemanta-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3D0002213443" rel="amazon" title="Islands in the Stream">Islands in the Stream</a>.<br />

The main hotel is named Villa <a class="zem_slink" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=23.1666666667,-82.3&spn=0.1,0.1&q=23.1666666667,-82.3%20%28Cojimar%29&t=h" rel="geolocation" title="Cojimar">Cojimar</a>, for the fishing village near <a class="zem_slink" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=23.0144444444,-82.3030555556&spn=0.1,0.1&q=23.0144444444,-82.3030555556%20%28Havana%29&t=h" rel="geolocation" title="Havana">Havana</a> where Hemingway kept his boat, and the resort's restaurant is called the Bodeguita de Guillermo, after Hemingway's favorite Havana bar, the Bodeguita del Medio.<br />
<br />
Playa Pilar, a lovely white beach near the west end of Cayo Guillermo, is named for Hemingway's boat.<br />
Cayo Guillermo is probably the number one sport fishing destination in <a class="zem_slink" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=23.1333333333,-82.3833333333&spn=10.0,10.0&q=23.1333333333,-82.3833333333%20%28Cuba%29&t=h" rel="geolocation" title="Cuba">Cuba</a>. The <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fishing" rel="wikipedia" title="Fishing">deep-sea fishing</a> facilities are good, and several freshwater lakes on the mainland are within commuting distance.<br />
